It's indisputable that «no wine we drink is the same as what was drunk two or three centuries ago» (in Douro - Rio, Gente e Vinho, António Barreto) and this difference is all the more evident in the Douro where the harmony between microclimate, soil/subsoil and vine is total.
In total, we cultivate 90 hectares of vineyards, mostly planted on terraces, divided between Quinta do Monte Bravo (sub-region of Cima Corgo) and Quinta do Marvão (sub-region of Douro Superior) where we have varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Alicante Bouschet, Viosinho, Rabigato, Gouveio and plots of old vines in “field blend”.
We defend a total symbiosis between wine production and the nature that surrounds us, with total respect for the existing flora and fauna. We conserve the native flora, making it more resistant and perfectly adapted to the soil and climate conditions of the region and properties.
Quinta do Monte Bravo is a world of biodiversity where we preserve pockets of bush that provide a refuge for species such as wild boars, foxes, badgers, rabbits, partridges, among others. It's also possible to see birds such as eagles and kites flying over our vineyards.
